 pathfinder.mov - This 360-degree QTVR photomosaic was taken by the IMP
camera on July 4, 1997. The foreground is dominated by the lander, newly
entitled the Sagan Memorial Station. All three petals have been fully
deployed. Upon one of the petals is the Sojourner microrover in its stowed
position. The metallic cylinders at either end of Sojourner are the rover
deployment ramps. Visible at the rear end (right) of the rover is the
Alpha Proton X-Ray Spectrometer. Located to the right of the center petal
is a dark, circular object and a bright, metallic object. Both are

 MotionRecorder PPC 1.0 - is a really simple QuickTime movie recorder that
only records a frame when something changes in the video image. Possible

is freeware. This may change in the future. Basically, i wrote this one
(long) night and it turned out to be a lot more useful than i anticipated.

Mac. It was created with LogoMotion and all soundtracks were edited with
SoundEdit 16. It has the THX music playing while the words Mac OS are

looks classy, and not too flashy. It makes a great start-up movie. I use a
powermac and it runs really smooth, but I haven't tried it on a slower
machine. They may have a problem with the size of the window trying to
keep 20fps going. Rendered in thousands of colors at 665x477.

 Acetabular-fracture.mov - This 3D movie loop of an acetabular fracture was
imaged with GE HiSpeed CT scanner at the Oulu university central hospital,
Department of diagnostic radiology. The movie is flattened so it can be
played on other platforms as well. 3D views were reconstructed with GE's
Voxtool on a Sun Sparcstation. The images were transferred via FTP to a
Mac, opened with NIH Image, converted to PICS and with MoviePlayer to
MooV. Image matrix was reduced from 512 x 512 to 256 x 256. It is also
possible to convert the movie to mpg with Sparkle.

 PICTs to Movie - This is a freeware application (actually it's workware;

numbered set of PICTs. I did not write this program; I downloaded it from
the great Sumex machine at Stanford. There is no documentation to go along
with it, but to use it properly all you need to do is have a series of
PICTs which are numbered (e.g., Picture1, Picture2, Picture3, etc.) and
specify how many you want to be incorporated into the movie when prompted.
Quite easy, but the interface is a bit counter-intuitive. You might need
to experiment a few times before getting the hang of it.
